The Order of Isshin-Ryu, founded by Master Toby Cooling, has the following goals:
 
   
The Order of Isshin-Ryu (OI) is interested in quality, not quantity. A person's character and integrity are paramount to being accepted as a member.

Others who wish to join our fraternity should seek out a certified sensei in the Order of Isshin-Ryu and petition to join. The candidate should submit a martial arts resumé and a copy of their most recent promotion certificate. The candidate will study with the sensei and have their kata reviewed to meet OI requirements. Once the above criteria have been met, the sponsoring sensei may then recommend the candidate to the Board for membership.
